When a cassette is present, play does not want to work much or at all. I try and include multiple shipping options, so be sure look at all of them for your least expensive options.
This vintage Craig cassette player recorder, model 2629, comes with the original strap. When the volume is turned up high it emits a loud sound. I suspect that there is a belt issue, but just guess. There is no power adapter included, but I tried one have that matches specs and everything appears to function as it should.
Play plays, FWD fast forwards, etc. I have replaced a belt on Sony unit before, but that is about the extent of what know. That is, when there is no cassette present. See my other listings for more of items available sale.
Now to describe what it is doing and or not. There is a little bit of corrosion present in the battery chamber at hard to get end, but it minimal and with cleaning should be fine. The counter works as it should.
I am not an electronics expert or could probably diagnose and repair this piece pretty easily. The pause button must be held down, but when it is unit pauses. Right now, it appears to be just enough keep the unit from running on battery power.
