Any measurements stated are within a fraction of dimensions. It could be it just needs a good cleaning; I really don't know. I try to describe items as accurately possible, however, sometimes pictures can say more than my words. I put a cassette in to play, but there was lot of static and really couldn't understand what playing.

Also, the hook loop on one side of case is missing. Wheels turn forward and reverse. Counter works. All buttons work fine.

I used 4 AA batteries to test it. READ: I purchased this at an Estate Sale. Please view the pictures and ask all questions prior to purchase. Clean battery compartment.
