Review MARANTZ Pioneer Tube Fm Stereo Receiver

The power section uses two 6bm8 tubes per canal for push pull output of 12 watts into 8 and 16 ohms. The shipping calculator is never accurate. Uses two 12ax7 tubes witch are the original Philips made in Australia.

The preamps section has a very good magnetic phono input and inputs for aux tape. The tuner section works extremely good for this class of component.

This unit was fully tested and found to be in very good working condition having said that is over 50 years old all resisters capacitors tube are original so it might need service for extended every day use. In fact all the tube are original and dial lights working. As you can see from the photos chassis is still shiny new and face plate almost mint.

I tested this unit and it is in good working condition sound very for type of component looks almost new with no rust or discolouration any kind.

But as it is almost mint and working. This must be one of the last tube type components pioneer offered.
