Review PHILCO Pair Working 1950s Usa 6v6 Tube Amplifiers Stereo8710
Selling as is however like all vintage electronics. In any case they go together, were made to and do make a stereo sound. I point to the two in pics.
The main chassis has a 4th control other than vol. This is a stereo outfit. The smaller tubes are 12AX7. I warmed them up on a Mauriac over time and started hearing music at only 50vac.
They are all original so sound quality needs a little help but do actually work as. Note the metal input plate with rca jacks that say LHS and Rh. By the time I was at 110v they were both playing, bass, treble, volumes working. Some resistors have drifted no doubt and voltage s are likely off.
One is marked 8710, the other looks like here an interesting offering, a pair of old usa made tube amps that connect to each becoming stereo. Replace those out of spec resistors and some fresh caps under the chassis they should play like new. There are 2 rca jacks open on the main, probably for ceramic phono. Includes 5 undamaged original large crazy looking knobs and a 6th that is damaged.
There are also 3 oil filled bumble bee caps under each chassis, the good ones with bulging leads at one end fill. Bass, and treble that's an on off phono or aux selector. A lead goes out from the main unit with signal for one channel, and power connects two pieces as well there is but cord. Almost all original tubes, black plate, smoke glass 6v6s - sylvan I think nice.
