The Hafler DH9505 is a highly regarded stereo power amplifier that has been a staple in audiophile circles for many years. This particular model, regrettably, seems to be experiencing an issue with its left channel.
The Hafler DH9505 is a class AB, fully balanced, dual mono design, which means it delivers a powerful and rich sound stage, with minimal distortion. It boasts a maximum output power of 125 watts per channel into 8 Ohms, 250 watts into 4 Ohms, and 500 watts into 2 Ohms, providing ample power for most speaker systems.
The amplifier features a robust construction, with heavy-duty aluminum chassis and a large heat sink for efficient cooling. The input section uses high-quality gold-plated RCA connectors, ensuring a secure and reliable connection to your preamp or source component. The output connectors are also gold-plated, and the amplifier includes binding post terminals for easy speaker connection.
The left channel of this Hafler DH9505 appears to have stopped functioning. While this is unfortunately an issue, it's important to note that the right channel continues to operate as expected. This could indicate a problem with a specific component within the left channel, such as a faulty transistor or an issue with the power supply.
In conclusion, the Hafler DH9505 is a high-performance stereo power amplifier that delivers impressive sound quality, but in this case, it's experiencing an issue with its left channel. It's recommended to have it serviced by a professional technician to diagnose and fix the issue.

No sparks, puffs of smoke, just stopped. It doesn't put out a signal either from the rca or XLR inputs, but right channel is fine. Here is one of my favorite power amps which served me faithfully until recently when the left channel suddenly stopped working without warning. It is in beautiful cosmetic condition however.
