Premium parts are said to include chassis-mounted ceramic tube sockets, an Al's volume control, Nichiren and real cap capacitors, wt speaker terminals gold-plated input jacks. Call it strikingly glorious. Frequency response is stated as 18hz to 35khz, no tolerance given. This is hands down one of the best integrated vacuum tube amps i've ever heard.

It cost me over 3k new so that should tell you the build and sound quality of amp. I'll leave it to the reader decide if that's a notable distinction. If Cayin can pull it off with a solidly built and affordable product, good for them. Its immediately obvious.

You can't miss the added sense of life that Cayin brings to music. The A-88T utilizes four kt88s for 45 ultra linear watts per channel though manual suggests that 6550s can be substituted.

As it happens, a Cayin rep tells me that the reason he investigated line in first place is because representative of us manufacturer, was approached by latter about amp. Inputs are labeled CD, aux and tape. It'll just hit you. Its highly finished with many touches that indicate attention to detail. In fact, many ways, the Cayin sounds better.

Given that, I was a little surprised that power down as well source selection caused an ever-so-gentle transient. Should the remote control ever be misplaced, little is lost. It is true, though, that point-to-point can sound better than a poorly executed circuit board. So maybe i've made that point already.

P amplification. Audio review: the Cayin 88t is first integrated i've ever had in my system that sounds so good, I have absolutely no desire to go back big mono block amps and preamps. That was the single rough edge on a very smooth design. All of the remotes functions are duplicated on face A-88T - with exception mute, which would be silly as volume control is right there.

Its also switchable from the remote control to produce 22 watts in tried, a neat touch. No, I didn't decide to start this review with my summation. In the listening room, Cayin 88t has a big beautiful open sound that could best be described as glorious.

Within minutes of hearing it, most listeners will likely have already come to the same summation. The 88t sounds impressive and characterization is certainly accurate. I only mention it because one slam i'm hearing on Chinese products is that thus far, the have succeeded in cloning equipment but yet to begin design their own good stuff. The only reason i'm selling is because I don't have time to even listen music anymore and would much rather it go a good home that will use.

Its a solid if little remote, milled of one piece aluminum. Utilizing only 8 buttons, the sp05b remote allows selection of source as well control over volume, including a full mute. Working our way around to the front, we'll stop at remote control all-vacuum tube design, all hand-made. Okay, I can live with that characterization now.

Give me a break. The specs and more details about are below. That wan't me talking. The Cayin 88t is as transparent and strikingly glorious an amplifier one likely to find at its relatively meager asking price.

And that's fine unless you manufacture where labor rates are high. I guess theres a certain amount of truth to that. In the case of A-88T, they claim it to deliver sound classic McIntosh MC-275 and built this close those specifications,then added there own updates achieve signature, which i've had pleasure hearing I think Cayin 88t sounds even more glorious my ears. Build quality here is absolutely beautiful.

Its one great looking piece of amp. No more guessing if your amplifier is optimized for speaker load. I used to have a McIntosh mc275 and couldn't believe how much better the Cayin A-88T sounded my ears. End of rant.

That's not always easy. The only thing strange is fact that there neither a little door providing access to batteries nor any visible screws with which remove remotes rear panel. It doesn't require extended listening or acclimation in order to unearth the magical qualities of this amplifier. So I have a different take on manufacturer who builds by hand and then charges exorbitant prices for point-to-point wired product that is sometimes less well-built than mid-80s vintage mg.

Ah, i've got it. Around back of the A-88T user will find aforementioned wt shrouded binding posts, four them per channel. Of course, the reason for going circuit board is to reduce assembly cost and thereby final pricing reach a wider audience while maintaining consistency manufacture.
