This unit plays and records properly on all 4 tapes types. Be sure to check the pics. There is a light scratch on the cassette door cover, and blotch of whatever just under program button. As per usual, all the belts were replaced.
The head alignment was needed. Approx 20x16x10 box at 15 lbs. After the head alignment, electronic alignment snapped alive and no adjustments were needed. I cleaned de-mag'd as usual.
Aiwa AD-L300 dolby cassette deck decent looking that performs great. The other 2 original stick on feet are fine. No critical scrapes, or gouges etc. Supports 4 tapes types, has independent output level control, LHS fine bias adjust, and cassette search by song number.
The mechanism is fine, but everything like a Chinese interlocking puzzle. Slightly on the bright side. Service: well, to say this was easy work on would be wrong. If you want, can remove the sticker that surrounds LHS bias control to make it look cleaner.
Good solid unit with many years left in it. Shipping: USPS priority. The single idler was cleaned and treated. And I had to add 2 stick on feet.
Nevertheless, it serviced well. Cosmetics: very decent looking machine. The rest is all reliably gear-driven.
