Nothing in its performance, like the mono pair, leads me to think it is necessary. These amps are strong, and well built. I do not know who manufactured them for rs. Hammond built these custom for their setup.
There are only 8ohm taps on the opt. Nice PTO wiring. This is an opportunity to own a very nice set of amplifiers that came from the massive Hammond g-100. Gold pins are not common though.
The driver tubes are a nos set of sylvan I got when bought amps. They have been bi-aped with a talkiest crossover driving pair of Rodgers mains and dynaco 31w-54's. All 3 amps have matching 3 prong high power cords, robust switches, the end versions Dayton audio bandanna posts, good gold plated rca inputs.
All the opt are dated in this came with a new set of J power and rectifier tubes. They also have nos Russian poi coupling caps. Maybe 150 hours on the eh tubes. These came with a newer set of power tubes but I do not know the brands.
They were are clones of the dynaco st-70 and mark 3 amps. They are built a little more robust than the dynaco. All 3 amps have their - bios updated as well.
This set is powerful and meld so well together, they need to remain that way. I bought a set of the eh power tubes, and had nice Millard rectifier tube. Tube list: 2 pairs of eh kt-88s unknown brand kt-88's2 ruby 5ar4's1 pair sylvan 6an8as the single stereo 58-1 I did not change every resistor on this one.
I did not change the filter cap cans, they were done before got amps and are fine. I don't know if they needed it, just replaced what was there with the proper color match.
It took time to gather together this set and I have used them lightly in my listening room for a few years now. One of the 59-1s print on cap is turned to pt, with just right light and angle you can see 1965 it.
The react tubes are Ruby's that I continued to use. Possibly in 2 boxes. None of them metered off enough to cause concern I just did it because could. I just did not get to this amp.
I am moving to more of a planar speaker type system and these do not fit in that style. The driver tubes are a nice set of nos gold pinned realistic's. At this point they will end up becoming shelf space holders and should be used more. All 3 amps have matching sets of the cry elector harmonic Russian tubes.
