Battery compartment is clean, no corrosion and door good condition with all tabs. Unit comes with the original speaker extension wires that are uncut. Surrounds on the woofers are intact with no holes but I can not guarantee condition of due to age.
Both tweeters work fine. Unit is very clean and complete. I tested the aux input and it works well, did not test tape out RCA's. Overall this is a very nice example of Aiwa flagship boombox that needs some TLC.
Detachable carry handle is in great shape and works as designed. Flat antenna is intact and straight. Tape play function does not.
The play buttons engage mechanism but it quickly stops. Speakers have their own connections when the are mounted, wires used removed. Unit has delectable voltage for 110v or 220v, includes original ac power cord us market. Very heavy unit approx.
The left speaker has a slight vibration buzzing noise when volume is turned up that reminds of loose dust cap I experienced on another set speakers, but have not removed grills to explore further. All four dust caps are there with no damage. Unit has never been opened up, everything is 100 original. I have tested the unit and here is what found powers up radio works.
Very nice, top of the line Aiwa wa boombox portable stereo. Fast forward and rewind works fine on both sides. There is one small crack in the plastic housing of case that does not affect anything see pic.
With the cassette door open looking behind plate where reels are you can barely see a belt or part of that is disconnected broken. Unit is being sold in as-is condition for parts or repair.
