I bring all tube amplifiers up to power slowly on a Mauriac with full load avoid damage and properly reform the capacitors. The back panel has an rca type input plug for phono or CD connection, electric receptacle, two speaker output sockets with a 6 screw terminal strip wire that allows you to choose g, com, 4, 8,16 65 ohms plus 25v and 70v. The cage which was painted at some point and bottom plate are present also in good shape. When purchasing 50 year old items you should expect that some work likely needs to be done bring them back their full potential.
Also on the front panel are two 1/4 inputs. Some items are powered on without further testing so don't assume the item works because it powers. We brought this up slowly on a Mauriac and it powers fine.
All of the following tubes are included. It works with all of the tubes lighting up and transformers stayed nice cool during testing. Theres also two bias adjustments on the top to independently adjust power tubes nice feature chassis and cage are in really good condition for its age with no rust at all just very minor related wear please see pictures.
Theres also a 1/4 speaker output. Although I test them to the best of my ability, i'm not an expert by any means. This amplifier can safely use either 6l6gb gc or 7027A power tubes. 2 6l6gb substituted for 7027A 3 5u4gb gz34 12ax7 1 6av6 the front panel has separate volume controls each input mic 1, phono and a bass treble on off control.
The sound is loud but distorted with a background hum so it probably needs new tubes and or few capacitors replaced to bring back its full potential. Up for offer is a very nice vintage Bogen Challenger model CHA-75A amplifier with huge 75 watt output.
It measures approximately 17 x 12 and is pretty heavy weighing about 28 lbs.
