Details:

E-9b energizer unit. Thus the unit is ideal for audiometer and evaluating spectral character of very low level noise in equipment like tape mastering machines recording consoles. A 6' long ac line cord with grounding adaption is included for optional use energizing. Headset cable is a flexible vinyl covered, 4 conductor, shielded, 67 length .

It also contains ac line fuse, and speaker terminals. Headband is extendable with stainless steel bands and self-adjusting, pivoting yokes. Headband cover is wide of molded poly-vinyl chloride with a 3/4 thick foam pad on the underside.

Conforms to any head size. Specifications for the ESP-9B set include: size of ear cups, x 116mm 93mm 43mm cushions are soft normality comfort and high ambient noise isolation. The size is x 8 overall including front panel knobs, etc.

The e-9b energizer unit offers option of self-energizing for bias supply, or energizing through ac line. It is black with a 5 prong plug keyed to jack on the e-9b energizer unit. It was functioning well at its last use, but has not been tested recently.

The cushions on this set of headphones have flattened and do need to be replaced. The unit contains 2 coupling transformers, self-energizing circuitry, speaker headphone transfer switch, energizing source selector switch and ac pilot light on black anodized front panel. The diaphragm will move in conformance to signal energy from an amplifier produce wide frequency response range with low distortion. It accepts standard boom microphones.

An integral 80, 4 conductor input cable is terminated with spade lugs for connection to amplifier output terminals. The ESP-9B has a response range of 10 octaves, widest ever attained, at that time, in headset. Boom microphone mount is a knurled, anodized aluminum knob on the left cup with threaded shaft and 2 rubber washers. Choice is made with a selector switch on the front panel.

Please examine the photos carefully for a clear idea of appearance and condition. Esp-9b electrostatic stereophones were a new development employing the principle of current less, or charge on push-pull capacitor plates to cause movement an intervening, light, conductive diaphragm. This stereophone setup is vintage and has not been in use for quite some time.

I am uncertain which of the ear pads available from Koss would work for these headphones. When energized through the ac line, very precise level measurements can be made. All the original parts are included, but I do not have packaging.
