I've been playing around with it and you can play all sorts of instruments with rhythms and beats. All in all, this is a great vintage piece of electronics. Its a monster and weighs 15 pounds. You can hear the motor running, so it does work, and i'm thinking it is probably just a belt or maybe needs lubrication.
Everything else works great and it has outlet's for headphones, microphone and other jacks. There is a YouTube video on how to repair these. Also, the speakers disconnect. This is a really fun, rare vintage Fisher sc 300K stereo music composer with a keyboard synthesizer, FM and shortwave radio, cassette deck and detachable speakers.
Unfortunately, the deck is stuck in the play mode. There is a storage compartment in the back for the ac plug. You can record to the tape deck or add beats to a cassette played on the deck.
From a smoke free home. There are plenty of owner's manuals on and from download sites, so you can learn all the specifics of making it work. There is one tiny cap missing on one of the slide controls, but it looks pretty generic and could be replaced. Oh, the keyboard disconnects so you can play it separately.
The antenna works and the speakers are nice and loud.
