You can't wear them out. I won't bore you by listing them here, other than to mention these items: super gx record playback heads - old tape decks used have that wore out.

Akai stereo cassette deck GX-9 if you are reading this probably know that made some of the finest decks ever in early '80s including gx-f95 1981, gx-f91 1982 gx-r99 and gx my opinion was best consumer tape. Important: as vintage audio equipment the deck is sold. And a manual bias adjustment, which allows the computer-calibrated settings be fine-tuned to your preference. Akai gx heads were made to last until the next ice age. Dual calibration system - a sophisticated that incorporates 2-stage auto tuning taking less than 2 seconds to complete.

Once you get used to its swift operation all other decks will seem handicapped. You do have the best of both worlds.

I hate to part with this, but i'm downsizing my collection of audio equipment due retirement and this has go. It also almost totally eliminates tape jamming.
