There also appears to be a neat little door for belt access should that issue ever arise. Will also play cassettes that may act finicky in other decks some of those old can get tight. Tapes track fine right now, however, so have left well enough alone. It has a great, vintage sound.
It lacks some of the features newer machines but ones does have are very effective and work fine. Very good condition and works excellent. Up for grabs is a fully tested and working Akai GXC-36D console cassette recorder player. Honestly, I can't tell much of a difference between this and my more expensive 3 head deck.
Tape selector, level meters, sliders, oils function, everything works as it should. Cosmetically it is in very good condition with some light scuffing and wear tear.
I just recorded a cassette with it and the record function still works great. The VI meters work perfect. I'll regret selling this unit because it is so difficult to find in condition, but I am starting collect too much stuff, some of has go.
Very hard to find in this condition. Neat piano key type cassette. This is a nice performing and great looking deck.
