Take a look at the close up pix of these - there are zero signs any use, no fingerprints, scratches, nicks, mars. These sound fine without the cushioning - as you can see from pic of document 'open aire' design doesn't rely for any airtight seal to give full spectrum. The only drawback - foam ear cushions are not here you can buy on for these pretty inexpensively. Up for bids is an outstanding pair of seldom if ever Sennheiser HD-400 'open aire' headphones with the wonderful condition original box, headphone pamphlet, microphone white zip pull that was used to hold headphones lead, other doc.

I have tested these - they work fine and produce crystal clear sound. Or anything. Pretty wonderful all around - great for use and or as a hi-fi collectible the graphics on box are cool.

No distortion or crackling - these are fully intact. Make in Germany. And the original 1977 receipt.
