This is the silver aluminum color, with a brushed face plate, and stamped steel base, frame top cover, so it made almost completely of metal very sturdy. The read head is in good shape, I included a picture of drive so you can see it yourself, and direction mechanism works perfectly fine as well, switches without any problems. This is a Jvc KD-VR320J cassette tape player, recorder deck.
The electronics are working perfectly fine, it plays tapes and records face display fully works as well. This as rca in and out ports on the back.
