Details:
Its not nearly as good the Mcintosh but I don't want to mess with it any longer. Includes the original users manual and carton which is a bit dusty. Rather than send it off for repair, I replaced with a modern small amplifier thinking that new would be as good. This particular model still sounds amazing but the volume level drops off and comes back in.
If you're reading this you likely are already aware. If you are familiar with this amp, perhaps recognize problem and can repair it for a few dollars. I suspect that its a problem with the power guard feature.
The has several bumps and bruises but glass been stored in box for ten years so its pristine condition. I removed the circuit board and inspected capacitors but there was no obvious problem they will often show signs of leaking or have a bulge when fail. Mcintosh has long been renowned for superior sound quality of their automotive audio equipment and the MC425 amplifier is no exception.
