I hooked up an old turntable to my system and tested it and it still sounds amazing. Luckily it doesn't affect it at all. Dynamic power when playing actual music, thanks to headroom of 7.

I bought it new in 1986 and have had it stored for the last 20 years. It is conservatively rated at 100 watts per channel RMS from 20 to 20,000hz with no more than 0. The gauges and lights work. The Proton D1200 is an immensely powerful power amp.

Nice Proton D1200. There is a small chip in the glass front just to the left of the red led where it says protection. 3db, is rated as follows power output 100 watts per channel into 8 stereo, 1800w into 8 mono frequency response 20hz to 20khz total harmonic distortion. I have no idea how that happened being in a box all these years.
