Volume and record level lots of setting to choose from. I've tried a bunch of brands, but really like this one by Panasonic the best. For ghost hunting they are really good, as the poor old spirits seem to like tape over digital when you doing evap work. There a sound level equalizer and neat window shows tape moving.

Has a pause lock and vas on side, fast forward rewind quick switch. Runs on 2 AA batteries which never ran out of juice they last a long time. They built things to last back then, and I have some of these that are 40 years old still work like the day were made. Used but seems to work very well.

I've been using these old analog Panasonic micro cassette recorders for decades, and have found them to be inexpensive, but with high quality guts, they are bulletproof. Sure, now there are digital voice recorder apps, and pocket recorders that smaller. And they age well when stored right.

Good size speaker easy to hear what you recorded, and has an output jack transfer computer. But there is something just still perfect about these old recorders when it comes to certain jobs because they do stuff that digital can't - like the fast forward 'review and preview' more easily replay. Comes with a radio shack tape looks unopened but it has on the back of bag. 2 tape speeds, power adapter jack.
