Details:

The front cover metal band is coming off and the panel a little more worn. The rollers seem fine on both units. Cosmetically its pretty good and includes the DIN to RCA adapter. Other than that I'm not sure why they don't work.

Belt kits are available for these still, and sure they need replacing. The first one fast forwards and rewinds but doesn't play, the take up spindles wind rubber roller/drive pin don't. Neither one works fully. Second unit powers up but doesn't wind at all.
