It is easy to see why this cassette deck didn't last long, but a really neat piece of history regardless with nice sound. The heat sink in this thing is absolutely massive and contributes to decks weight of roughly 20 lbs.

Not sure what the issue is but it may be missing a spring or have dried lubrication. The speaker boxes are wood and have some scratches, scuffs, an occasional small dent. Speaker grates have some hard to notice shallow, but wide, dents.

The volume dial has a spot of wear in center, buttons have little centers, and door scuffing on top edge. The only mechanical issue is in deck door, which releases when eject button pressed and does not gradually fall open like it should.

Cassette deck is advertised as having full logic feather touch and a dc servo controlled 2 motor mechanism. The door face plate feels loosely attached. There is a built in handle on the top for portability, stand to raise base up at an angle, and dc 12v input case you'd rather not use power cord.

Features include bass treble balance dials, a mic input w levels dial, line out aux in, 1/4 headphone jack, and selector for different tape varieties. The odd thing about this deck is it being shaped like a boombox, but lacking in many standard boombox features: no radio, battery power ac only, and minimal inputs. As mentioned, despite having really no features, the sound quality is above average to my ears.

Instead, it must be manually pulled open and just kind of pops clumsily after a certain point. All it really does is play cassettes, which an admirable job of. Up for your consideration is an extremely rare Sony model TC-PB10 stereo cassette deck. The sound quality was quite good and rich when I tested it.

It has been tested by me and is functioning great. No issues otherwise. I combine shipping. This is a very strange boombox-Esq cassette deck, which was manufactured between only for us, EU, and I would assume Japanese markets.

The speakers are detachable and do not lock in to place on stereo, fitting rather loosely some brackets.
