I started restoring this one and then found an a-430, so am selling where left off.

If you put a tape on play and turn it off, will usually come after several times fine.

It is taped good and serves the purpose.

Its just a matter of messing with sometimes takes while, however, once is on and working fine, will play tape after tape, all day work fine.

We play all electronics for 8 hours to ensure they function as should. I just have what want now and do not time to take it apart again.

Other times, if I turn it off and move the wire harness under head assembly around, then back on will work fine have not moved wires but a few for fear of possibly breaking an already loose or bad connection. Then, the ugly: it has a very slight scuff across tape lens you can see in pics, looks worse than is, do not notice regular lighting. I am picky about my stuff, so normally make things sound worse than they are.

Also, the power cord plug was replaced at some time and has tape on it. First, the good: it has a brand new complete belt set on - cosmetically is in very nice condition everything works as should including memory and recording sounds excellent heads have been cleaned demagnetized I played several tapes since cleaning overall super firs age.

All lights work, except, the tape carriage light. Please pay at time of purchase or winning offer to avoid any misunderstandings.
