Cosmetically I give this and 8 out of 10 with some scratches on the front panel top. Some of the specs from old Carver catalogs show ratings in 2 ohm column. This is a beast with incredible life like sound.
I bought this a while ago with grand plans of super 7. Its one of the most powerful Carver 2 channel amplifiers ever built. The meter lights, front controls and buttons all work.
The needles fluctuate with no audible reference. The only hiccup is first start up.
2 home theater. 380wpc 8 ohms 550wpc 4 ohms 600wpc 2 ohms regardless of specs, I can tell you they drove a set ar9 speakers without missing beat. I'm no longer pursuing that project and putting this up for sale.
