Details:
I didn't see any obvious bulging capacitors, etc. When plugged into my receiver, upon first power it up let out a very loud whining sound and the VU meters went crazy. The tape player moved through all of the different functions but I couldn't test sound quality. This tape deck has been tested and it will need some repair work.
I'm not sure whats wrong with it. But something in there will likely need replaced. The tape door is broken as shown but still shuts and opens. Its a bit dirty and the wood en case is brittle along back edges.
