It makes and plays amazing recordings. After ejecting a tape, the stop button needs to be pressed allow for tape door closed again. The pinch roller rubber has been cleaned with rejuvenate. It is large, heavy and built to last.
When the tape door is open, back of compartment moves forward to cover heads mechanism. I have tested this deck thoroughly and found that it works exactly as designed. I do not think that could tell this deck apart from my Camacho in a blind listening test. The capstan and tape heads have been cleaned. This deck is amazing. Not sure if the eject button is supposed to auto reset upon ejecting a tape or this unit in excellent pre-owned condition and shows minor signs of use. This deck has 3 noise reduction types: Dolby b c and DX the eject button is an electronic process not mechanical.
