Both belts have been replaced on units in addition to the volume control potentiates. These units come ready to enjoy in nice cosmetic condition with minimal wear and tear for this age as shown the pictures.
All buttons, controls, face plate, case covers, internal chassis, screws and input connections were detailed, deep polished ultrasonically cleaned where appropriate. Crossed paths vintage. These are wonderful, top notch units from Teac that many consider one of their very best model's ever made. A gorgeous beast that's stunning performer.
The heads were polished and cleaned as well. The bottom deck has been thoroughly tested for playback and record in all modes works wonderfully. Bottom unit fully confirmed for playback and record while the top.
The top deck was used for playback only and has been tested such performance. The Z-6000 has such a wonderful level of performance. All the lamps and indicators are in good working order.
Fast shipping with 1 day turnaround. These units were not abused by the original owner and they come from a non-smoking home.
The top unit is missing small master indicator cover for slider which common and does not affect performance in any way. These units are ready to go.
Its arguably one of the best sounding and looking tape decks that Teac ever made. Fast forward and rewind on both decks for a standard 90 minute tape takes approximately 1:54 in each direction which is excellent.
It works very well for playback but recording on this deck has not been tested. This cleaning process alone takes 4 to 5 hours with the complete dismantling of unit. The heads have been cleaned and polished as well.
