Did not test for sound as I don't have the means to do so. My husband tested it out for me, meaning that powers on and the cassette turns voltage ac 240v, 50 60 Hz, power consumption 38 watts , Nakamichi corporation, made in japan, there is also an area middle of back unit which reads system remote. Rare and hard to find.

Up for sale is a Nakamichi CR-4E 3 head discrete cassette deck made in japan. I am not sure if this is the original plug that unit came with. The plug is fused and fitted with a 13 fuse.

There are 4 different tape selector buttons, ex 1, SC ii xx iv 120 70, bias assuming that means bass calibration level knobs and on off switch for that, Dolby NR switch, b c MP filter recording master balance knob, output knob. It is 240 volt japan marked on. I m guessing it isn t.

The front reads direct drive double capstan silent mechanism microprocessor controlled discrete 3 head. There are four input output line ports on the back 2.
