The following is based on my experience. So I would think that a universal remote with the Philips codes for cd player would likely work. I own or have owned many Dynaco pieces and this is one of the best products they ever brought to market.
I have included what I think are the oem cables with the player. This player will work with a remote that I do not have for this unit. I did try to setup a universal remote, but without the remote setup codes I could not find the right ones. I was keeping this unit more or less as a spare, but decide to offer it for sale.
All my audio gear is well cared for in a controlled dust free environment. It also allows for the typical skip ahead or random selection of tracks played. When you first power on the player it goes into warm up mode, the green led indicates this. The tube output is very high quality.
This cdv 1 is from my personal collection. The performance far exceeds the cost of the unit. I did also use a remote from a marinates unit, Phillips transport and it also worked just fine. I tested the tubes right before this sale and they tested like new tubes.
After about 30 second, the led goes to red indicating that the tube heaters have the output section ready to go. BTW, using the Dynaco remote from my other unit it operates this one just fine.
I also have a pat 6 and st400 on. I do not have a manual for this player, if anyone has a source, please let me know but it is easy to operate. I did use it this way for a while before I purchased the preamps.
The player has a gain volume setting that controls output to the preamps or directly to your power if desired. I used this with a Dynaco pat 6 and st400 amplifier. The internals are like new including the tubes.
