Cons of buying Me-18 Masco 18 Amplifier with 6L6 tubes for harmonica harp blues:1. Limited Versatility: The amp is designed specifically for blues harmonica and may not be suitable for other types of music.
2. Tube Maintenance: Tube amplifiers require regular maintenance to ensure optimal performance, which can be time-consuming and costly.
3. Limited Volume: While the 18 watts of power are sufficient for most live settings, the amp may not be loud enough for larger venues or for practicing at home.
Conclusion: If you are a blues harmonica player looking for a warm, rich sound with plenty of tone shaping options, the Me-18 Masco 18 Amplifier with 6L6 tubes is a great choice. However, keep in mind the limitations in versatility and volume, and be prepared to invest time and money in tube maintenance.
Recommendation: If you are looking for an all-around amplifier that can handle a wider range of instruments and genres, I would recommend considering a solid-state amplifier with built-in effects. However, if you are committed to the tube sound and style of the Masco 18, then it is definitely worth considering.
Please be patient.
Quality made in USA. Can't find any info on the speakers. The base slides into a groove in one cabinet and other hinges over it clasp together forming nice portable unit.
Includes a 5/8 screw-on to 1/4 jack mic adapter, and 2-wire rca adapter attach the phono input if desired not pictured. Definitely vintage, but in real nice shape. The speaker frames and cabinets are both marked made in USA.
The cones are marked Tony and frames highly desirable for harmonica. Usually it is less much for small, easy to pack items. I think these are the original 12 speakers and cabinets.
